Dietmar Wiening

Born in 1943 in Germany, Dietmar immigrated to South Africa in 1964 where is considered a leading bronze sculptor of birds and marine life. His work is very distinctive. He has perfected the art of form simplification, reducing his subject matter to essentials whilst retaining their intrinsic character. Dietmar's work has been shown in 35 group exhibitions throughout South Africa. He has also held four one-man shows and participated in ten international exhibitions.
