Revelations of Past Experiences

?I am influenced by the cycle of life and death; pain and loss; and the eventual (be it slow) rebirth of the soul. My subject matter should not be seen as portraits of myself, but elements of truth and revelations of past experiences. I don?t dictate to the viewer. He or she should interpret the work according to the emotions and inner meanings they find. My painting now is not as tight as it was originally. I have introduced more high-keyed colour and more active brushstrokes. Form is still more important than decorative detail and I still look to the past in order to create timelessness within my work.?
