"I was born in Klerksdorp in the North West Province, South Africa and I have been painting professionally for 25 years and grew up in an artist's home. My mother was my mentor. My art is inspired by nature, once an image is etched in my memory, I have to paint it, this is not always possible though because I am constantly busy with commissions. I love the richness and texture of oils and my approach towards art is realistic. Once I made art my career I never looked back."
