Biography
I am passionate about art and photography. Mostly self-taught, I work in pastels, pencil, pen, ink and now predominantly oil. Wildlife and landscapes are my favorite subjects but I have also ventured into portraiture, both human and animal. By being in the heart of nature and painting what I see, I hope to be able to show others the beauty of our African landscape and wildlife. My paintings are not just about reproducing reality, but also capturing what I feel. I have traveled through most of SA and offer art retreats all over the country, teaching people how to capture what they see using pen and ink and watercolours, (travel journalling) as well as the occasional Plein air painting retreat.
