?I try to convey a feeling of atmosphere, whether in a landscape or village scene, by using pure colour whenever possible. My favourite scenes are anything to do with water, boats and very large skies. When the other mood steps in, I paint historical buildings of the villages around Stanford, Genadendal as well as the Mission Stations. Maps of villages from above have also become popular. My philosophy is to have fun, to enjoy what I love doing, and try to install the same happiness in my students.?
