I started painting in 2010 as a creative outlet. I prefer working in oils because I believe it is a versatile medium and lends a vibrant element to the work. The style that I have adopted is ultra-realism. When a painting really jumps off the canvas and it feels like you can touch the elements in it, I take pride in a job well done. I love painting still life, faces and scenes from everyday life - fortunately living in South Africa provides a fascinating environment from which to draw inspiration.
