Although I enjoy painting portraits, still lives, interiors and mythological compositions, my passion is the landscape, especially dry areas like the Karoo. Not only do I try to convey a convincing visual, I try to capture the spirit, vastness, fragility and especially the silence of the land. My style has been described as realistic, with a touch of romanticism and the simplification one associates with expressionism or primitivism.
