Elizabeth Robertson Campbell

A SELF TAUGHT REALIST

Born on a farm in the Eastern Cape, I developed a deep love for Africa and all that she radiates, visually and emotionally. What embellished this privilege, was my gift of creativity, which I was able to let ooze naturally out of the tip of a stick in the sand of a riverbed, to a pencil in my homework books, and later out of a paintbrush. In 2003 my love for story telling erupted and I wrote and published my very own book, called 'The Choice'. What makes this book so unique is that at the end of every chapter is an image of one of my art works. My story became a bestseller because of its power and impact, and my husband (publisher) and I are endeavoring to adapt it into a movie. It thrills me to be able to influence people's lives for the good through this powerful modern day medium of film making. This to me is what art is all about.
