FOUND FLAT THINGS
'That which once was, reincarnated to be alive once more, but in the imagination of the viewer, discussing and questioning the thought process of the artist'. I found a paper-thin flattened rat. It still had some grey fur and a tiny white tooth. How long had the little body lain there discarded? Not even a worthy meal for a hungry creature? I believe that every found thing has a story to tell. Something that is dead can be immortalized in life to live again as art. My work is done in acrylic and mixed media. I use a cut out from my discarded palettes from previous paintings to start the new one and there is a number 25 hidden in all my paintings.
