KATHY KAY

I am a contemporary artist, painting mainly in oils on canvas. My preferred subjects are seascapes, landscapes, boat and rural scenes and wildlife - depicting the beauty of nature in all its forms. My aim is to capture the atmosphere of the moment, with the influence of light playing a key role. My colours are strong and striking and my brushstroke varied, including the use of a palette knife to create form and texture. I live in the coastal town of Shelly Beach and I am inspired by the energy, changing moods and colours of the ocean.
