Gillian Condy

Gillian Condy trained as a scientific illustrator in London and has held the position of Botanical Artist at the National Herbarium, SANBI, Pretoria since 1983. She works mainly in watercolour. She is a founding member of the 'Botanical Artists Association of Southern Africa' and is currently Gauteng Chair. She illustrated 'Geophytic pelargoniums, 2001', 'Grass Aloes in the South African Veld, 2005' and contributed to the biographical section of 'Peeling back the Petals: SA botanical Art'. She has designed fourteen sets of stamps for the Botswana Postal Services and four sets for the South African Post Office.
