JOAN VAN GOGH

I have spent many years wandering about in the Karoo and bushveld absorbing the beauty of the area, which is reflected in my work. I am best known for my botanical art, but I also love painting landscapes, seascapes and animals in watercolours and oils. I have exhibited in several galleries and sold works all over the world. I have also designed four sets of postage stamps and illustrated many books such as the SAPPI Tree Spotting Series. I am currently busy painting the leaves, flowers and fruit of the indigenous trees of SA for a tree application called 'High Branching Illustrated Trees of South Africa'.
