LARA SEGAL

In this collection I studied my emotion in relationship to colour. Each work captures a different emotion from happiness and excitement to sadness and anxiety. The collection looks at my childhood up to adulthood and my relationship around my feelings and connections to paint and texture. Through this work I chose to release my past and grow into my future. Each work has been a journey of my soul unpacking my deepest inner emotion through paint and ink. The sky for me is the most evocative way to look at emotion as it is constantly changing, growing and never stays the same much like a person as they grow through life, often carrying their emotional baggage along.
