My work focuses on finding beauty in life, creation and everyday objects. I believe that all beauty is flawed and that the true essence of a piece lies in its ability to engage the viewer in spite of what it may represent in the physical realm. I treasure finding magnificence in the blemished; be it a decimated ruin, or discarded animal skull. Though my first love remains portraits and the human form, I have been concentrating on different objects and scapes that evoke an emotional response from the viewer, focusing on atmosphere rather than photo-realism.
