Colour and texture are the threads that run through my work. I am fascinated by the small details of nature and the infinite patterns they suggest, juxtaposed by the 'bigger picture' and how we frequently see things in a blur, disregarding the detail. The motivation for my books (and my classes), has been to make possible and encourage the process of art-making for those who have always wanted to participate but never had the courage, space, time or whatever obstacle they have put in their way.
