Years ago, I bought a book titled 'Camera Work' which is a compilation of the work showcased in Alfred Stieglitz's Camera Work publications. The book focused on 'pictorialism'. Ever since, I've been an admirer of this type of photography, which in a sense, is very similar to Impressionism. I feel that a photograph should be more than a mere accurate record of time, place and person. I prefer images that depict atmosphere and intangible elements like solitude, energy and movement. To create such images, I often make use of multiple exposures, lens and motion blur.
