I believe my soulful abstract-ethnic canvasses take the viewer on a spiritual journey into Africa. My canvasses are brought alive with women and children walking through vast, arid, glowing landscapes. Working mostly with pallet knife and paint, I strive to capture the 'essence' of rural Africa at its best, often painting women with thin, flowing white fabric draped over their shoulders, symbolic of their emotional and spiritual strength. I believe my work captures the imagination of the viewer, instilling positive energy and tranquility and allowing one to venture into the mood of our beautiful Africa. My other passion is photography, be it macro, wildlife, landscapes or portraits. I am never without my camera looking for opportunities to explore something new and exciting.
