JON COLMAN

Jon Colman is a professional photographic artist, who specializes in landscape and wildlife imagery. He has exhibited internationally and locally and has sold over 800 pieces to date. Jon has travelled extensively through South and East Africa to photograph material that can be used for his photographic artworks. Jon's creative workflow is to envision a final image and then to photograph subjects from which the image can be created, via digital darkroom techniques using a Wacom Tablet and pen. Many hours are spent enhancing or removing aspects of the photo to create a fresh and engaging image that allows the viewer to connect, but think differently about the encounter, than if it was just a photograph. Most of Jon's work is printed as a large format work on stretched canvas at 140x100cm. Each is numbered and signed as part of a limited run of 24 pieces. Archival quality canvas and inks are used to give the finest results. Alternative sizes can be produced.
