DORIS BRAND

I am intrigued by the play of light and colour in all objects. I take my inspiration from everyday subjects, focusing on the objects and places in my immediate surroundings. I have worked in different medias, but over the last few years I have been concentrating on oil paintings.

I live in George, where I have had my own gallery for the past 12 years. I also curate exhibitions for other artists and teach art classes to adults.

I hosted a solo exhibition in 2013 named 'Quiet Spaces', and I have exhibited at the KKNK for the past 6 years. My work has been a part of many group exhibitions at various events and galleries.
