I gain my inspiration from the infinite horizons of the Natal Coast, the powerful storms along the Wild Coast and the sense of peace when walking the silver beach at Morgan's Bay where the delicate barely noticeable colour gradients blur the transition between water and land. The grace of old fishing boats in places like Keurbooms and Knysna and the intense colours along the Cape and West Coast are sources of constant delight and stimulation. I find the quality of light dancing over the water while walking along the shorelines of our beautiful country, a never-ending source of inspiration and restoration. My preferred medium is currently acrylic on canvas and my passion is the sea, painting the coastline from Mozambique to Paternoster.
