STEFANIE SCHOEMAN

I am an artist/environmentalist with an active interest in installation art, biomimicry (exploring the genius of nature), renewable energies and sustainable living. I am attracted to arts ability to translate ecological information in a way that is relevant, interesting and accessible to the general public; at times acting as an example and initiator for change.

I create installations because I want to share my thoughts and feelings; my experience of life on this planet. The uncapped beauty of the Earth captivates and inspires me and I would like to bring some of the magic of the natural world back into the everyday lives of people. My artworks by nature invite people to interact with them. They are open to touch and allow for a flow of movement around them as they aim to reconnect people, if only for a moment, with their surrounding environment.
