Derrick Dickens

I retired in Hermanus, where I have a gallery specialising in aviation and marine art. I am a member of the illustrious American Society of Aviation Artists and only the second South African to be so honoured. I prefer painting with acrylic on canvas board, because it dries quickly and allows me to do fine detail. I am working on another two books. My first book; 'An Illustrated History of the Fleet Air Arm' features paintings of every fixed wing aircraft to have flown off Royal Navy aircraft carriers from 1938 to 2006.
